Question Open CPN for Windows 7

Will the XP 2.2 version of CPN work with Windows 7? Thanks for all your work and information.

Yep. I have it running on an XP system and a 64bit Win 7 system.

I am having difficulty with windows 7. Neither openCPN nor Seaclear are finding the COM port. I can see a port in device manager, but it doesn't seem to get recognized. Any tips?

Check there is a valid NMEA data stream from this COM port with HyperTerminal or similar prog.

See post #21 on how to use it.
