Open CPN Crashes

I purchased a new Acer laptop running windows 11 and loaded cpn on to it not long after CPN would crash when I tried to open the log book plugin. I have tried the instruction on the reboot screen about editing the config file, buy made no difference. I have tried uninstalling CPN and all its files, I have tried to install an older version with the same problem. I have reinstalled the latest version and still have the same problem it now even crashes when I turn on the GPS connection.
I am at a lost as what to do next I have noticed a crash report file but with my limited computer knowledge I cant make any sense out of it. I am starting to wonder it there is something in the windows setup that I have to adjust?
Any help that can point me in a direction to fix this would be very helpful

An Update the problem is now happening when I open most other functions eg. CPN is running and I select tracking and the program crashes.
I have uploaded to the latest version today and still have the same problem. I am about to continue on my trip and would like to resolve the problem to enable planning.

First step is to remove and re-install OpenCPN 5.10.0.
Try to run without any plugins activated. If the system is stable in this setup, add plugins one-by-one, comparing results at each step.

Thanks Dave,
I have reinstalled CPN and added the plugins I use one at a time leaving a hour between each one. everything went well I added the logbook waited for a while updated to the latest version then as soon as I clicked on the logbook icon to open it the program crashed. I had then to reinstall the CPN to get it to open, reloaded the plugins (except the Logbook)
Any suggestions on where to go now to get the logbook to work.
