oeSenc TSS appearance

Just discovered another, albeit very, very minor issue with the display of oeSenc charts. The directional arrows of the TSS are not drawn completely when at the boundary of individual chart tiles, or more accurately when extending in the neighbouring tile.

This glitch disappears when zooming in further, so that the arrows can now be drawn completely within their own on tile.

Sytem: macOS, OpenCPN 5.6.0, oeSenc plugin 4.3.2.8, OpenGL deactivated.

When activating OpenGL, the error persists, although details look slightly different.

Just to bring your attention to the relevant points:

Attachment 252353

Green circle: arrow is drawn over the separation zone
Blue circle: arrow is drawn too far to the right, extending outside the TSS
Brown circle: left arrow is only drawn in its own tile, however right arrow is drawn correctly although extending in next tile
Purple circle: arrow does not extend in next tile
above purple circle: arrow drawn into the separation zone.

If you want to know, why I was looking into that area of the world, you may want to read here: Mumbai Maersk ran aground. The article is outdated, they managed to pull her off last night at high tide.

It is really a minor bug, since it only appears in areas, where we small guys are not supposed to be in the first place. So, if you give it low priority, fine with me.

Best,

Manfred

@Aldebaran
Which charts you are using?
I have no problems using macOS Catalina, my own OpenCPN version and CM93 charts.

It is attached and appears to me as an attached thumbnail at the end of the post and a link at the right position in the body of the message. Don't ask me why the software did treat this image differently.

Here it is again:

Re: oeSenc TSS appearance

I have heard already about problems with macOS greater than Catalina and Retina display. Some examples of the charts from o-chart I have seen have shown some errors too. So I have decided not to use them. Since 12 years I navigate with OpenCPN, Mac computers and CM93 in the Mediterranean and now North Sea without any problem. Even when my charts are more then 7 years old they are still usuable as you can see with these examples. Anyway I cannot navigate into the always changing waterways in the Waddensea with the draft of nearly 2 meters of my boat. So I don't use and don't need the oesenc plugin which might have errors too.

Re: oeSenc TSS appearance

TSS, buoys and othe areas like wind parks are an excellent argument to use up-to-date charts.

First one Deutsche Bucht: compare the buoys and their numbering. Or the wind parks that just didn't exist when your CM93 were edited.
Second one Skagen: what will be your comment when being fished up in midst of that for you not existing TSS?
Left S-57/oeSENC, right CM93/2

Btw.: I can confirm Manfred's finding about the cosmetic presentation error of the TSS arrows on my macMini. No retina, OpenGL ON of course.
