Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi,
A new version of the beta is available from:
https://github.com/jongough/ocpn_dra...es/tag/v1.3.30

This version fixes up some issues with collision of options.

You can now constrain the movement of Boundaries, Boundary Points, Text Points to anywhere, maintain Lat (hold Ctrl key), maintain Lon, (hold Shift key), you can also extend an EBL in its current direction (hold Ctrl+Shift key). You can select multiple boundaries by holding Ctrl and left clicking the boundaries, then right click and surround the selected boundaries with a new boundary.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hello Jongough,

Hmm ... Nothing stops you ... Bravo.

First, I appreciate the ability to move the lines and points with the left click of the mouse. This is in line with what the core of OpenCPN does.

That said, my first tests have brought their lot of surprises

I note two:
- From now on, the DRs are no longer rectilinear. They are created with several aligned segments and then by moving the intermediate points, one gets a road that can be zig-zag. This seems good to me.

- It is impossible to manually move points 1 and 2 of the guard zones. I guess it's a bug you'll fix.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Oups Jongough,

I was playing with a guard zone. I was trying to move points 1 and 2, either with the left click, or with the right click and then move the point. And I had a crash of ODraw and O45307. But I do not know how to reproduce it.

And now, impossible to run O. Crash immediateley. See crash report that I send.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi Gilletarom,
Patch 1.3.31 will allow you to move a GZ point by left drag.

If you have a problem after a crash go back to a previous ODnavobj.xml file, or remove the latest ODnavobj.xml.changes file. The 'not restarting' can be due to a corrupted xml file and each time you start it you try to create the corrupted object.

If you can reproduce the error it will make it easier to find. It may be an 'edge' condition, i.e. you moved the point off of the edge of the chart, or it could be something completely different. Sorry, I cannot help you at the moment, but I will keep on testing to see if I find anything.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Dear Jon,

Do you have any ideas about this problem?
"Boundary not detected" when working with Weather_routing?

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post2402517

Perhaps there is something I am doing wrong? or perhaps the message protocol changed?

Hi Rick,
Your message was the first I heard of this. I have just downloaded the latest Weather_routing_pi and I will have a look.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi,
I have just run the latest update level of weather_routing_pi and OD 1.4.0 and it seems to be working for me. The attached screenshot shows it routing round a triangular boundary. I may need a bit more information to go any further.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi Gilletarom,
Yes, OD 1.4. I have just uploaded install files to the git repository:
https://github.com/jongough/ocpn_dra...ses/tag/V1.4.0
There are deb, rpm and exe files, but I cannot generate mac installs as I don't have a machine to do it on.

I have asked Pavel to create the release versions to be put up in the normal locations for plugins and am waiting for that to happen, then I will create a new thread for OD 1.4.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hello Jongough,

I am a little available to test the OD1.4.

Some details immediately visible:

1 ° I created a PIL. According to the preferences of OD, the icon of the starting point is an arrow and that of the end point also.
But as long as the initial point of the center line is associated with the boat, one sees only the icon of the boat.
I therefore dissociated the initial point from the centerline and the boat. In this case, the start point icon is not an arrow. See the screenshot below

2 ° When a PIL is created, the icon of the end of the center line, ie the arrow, is not aligned with the center line. (No screenshot attached to this observation). Why ? ok, it i an icon ...

3. When changing the direction of the center line, the direction of the center line changes, it is normal, but the direction of the icon of the end point does not change. Is this normal? is it because it is only an icon ? See the same screenshot below.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Jongough,

If the boat is associated whith the initial point of parallell index line, it is possible to create or destroyed parallell line as we want. This is Ok.

If the initial point of the index line and the boat are not associated, it is possible to create many parallells lines if we want. It is possible to destroy all the index line and, simultaneaously all the parallell lines BUT it is impossible to destroye only one of these parallels lines. This is not good for me.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi Jon
Just trying Draw 1.4 on the home computer before heading out on the bay tonight for a running test.

1: I noticed I only get 1 PIL line on the starboard side and 1 centre line. (screen shot attached)

2: Also when I open draw toolbar and,
make a selection,
use this tool,
then I try to select a different tool I cannot.

I first must close the tool bar,
then reopen to select new tool.
Maybe this is related to Dave's post relating to Ubuntu. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post2365782

3: Request, I can only use "use nearby WP feature" when drawing a boundary if the WP was created in draw.
This would be a nice addition if WP's created in O could also use this function.

Ubuntu 16.04 and Open 4.6.1 Draw 1.4.

Hope to catch up on the bay some day.
