Exactly the same behavior with your package as my own, sorry.

My OS is Win10, x64, i5 HP, 8 Mb, bad graphical card Intel HD3000.
Any other tests you want from me?

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Jon,
I am not at computer now, will get you the version no. later.

Yes, now I understand the use of this tool and why. Also I think a perpendicular to a pil (ppil?) offset tool would help with DR and turning at chart and radar headlands etc.

The runway route object would also be great at some point.

I will certainly send my OD settings.

Wonder where Gille is, he's usually a great tester too.

You may want to include buildwin and buildosx in .gitignore ?
Thanks

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Hi,
I 'may' have found the windows 10 issue. I have put up patch 1.3.12 in the "release_1.3-over_ocpn_4.4" branch of the beta. I will do some more testing tomorrow and if it does work I will then create an installable. There was certainly an issue moving between OCPN 4.4.0 and 4.5.0 as 'something' moved and the code got into a loop. Hopefully this is now fixed.

Sorry, no difference for me. Still is the second use of the Draw Toolbar not able to switch tool.
- I can activate the Draw Toolbar.
- You "know" where the mouse is since all the mouse over help texts are there.
- Left click on a button has no response.
- I can close the Draw Toolbar using the upper right cross.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Jon, using the version uploaded to Opencpn File thingie.
I was able to switch to other objects, but when I switched back to PIL, I could no longer access "Move PIL endpoint". Previously just after entering the PIL and adding offsets (multiple ones, like 4 of them) I could move the Pil endpoint and all the offsets would also change angle.

Also I wonder if there could be an option to clip the offsets to be the same length as the control PIL.

Hakan, perhaps try the one one .beta file thingie?

FYI Will not be online tomorrow with good inet access.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

I think I found a trace for you:
Here I call it a draw action when I'm using a tool to draw something, like EBLs, and end that with either key Esc or a mouse right click.
- If I end a draw action by a right click I can next time switch tool in the Draw Toolbar.
- If I end a draw action by key press Esc I can't switch between the tools next time.
So - you may empty the key buffer when the Draw Toolbar is opened. I see you're checking for keys to see if for example Ctrl was pressed. And bare in mind that many of us, like me, are using the keyboard a lot. For example I use to switch between apps using Alt + Tab.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Håkan,
I think I may have found something. Can you check on the general OD properties and see if you have the 'Allow left mouse button drag' option selected? If I have this selected, move a boundary point with a left mouse button drag then create a PIL then the OD Toolbar does not allow left clicking to select another tool UNTIL I have selected the last tool and then right clicked. If I use the OCPN Toolbar it works as normal.

I will investigate what is causing this behaviour.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

I would like to confirm that I have been doing this action:
- If I end a draw action by a right click I can next time switch tool in the Draw Toolbar.

Additionally, to create an Offset PIL from the Control PIL
- Left click on the PIL Shaft, Right click on PIL shaft , pick menu "Add index line" added line appears.

To move the offset PIL
- Left click on the Offset PIL, Right click on Offset PIL, pick "Move line", then grab the line with the left button and move it.

Yes, it does appear that I can select the other ODraw menu objects and they work.

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Rick,
You should be able to just right click on the object and get a popup menu you can select the item from. There should be no need to do the left click before the right click.

Håkan,
Could you post your opencpn.ini file so that I can use the settings you have to see if I can recreate the issue you are having?

Thanks
Jon

Re: ODraw - 1.3 beta

Håkan,
I have found an issue when using 'Esc' to stop drawing. This is fixed with patch 1.3.13 which is in the release_1.3-over_ocpn_4.4 branch. When you used 'Esc' the OD toolbar would display tools you could not select, now when you use 'Esc' it has the same effect as using right click, all the tools should be selectable.
