Rick...

I cannot reproduce the extra-large AIS Icons that you show. Something wrong here...

How did you do that?
OpenGL? Other settings?

Thanks
Dave

Dave, Are you talking about Post #37?
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post2543385

SurfPro3 Win10 Alpha
Screen Resolution 2160x1440
Chart Zoom Scale
Raster 0
Vector 0
User Interface scale 0
Chart Obj scale 0
Turned off "Attenuate less important targets"
Opengl = on
Texture Mapping = on

Then Post #36 has larger icons because the settings are different and .
Chart Obj scale +2
Opengl=on
Texture Mapping=on
See the settings & images on that post please.

I was just trying to help with info about the size of icons, (See Pavel's Post #34)

Sorry if it was static!

Re: OCPN Beta 4.8.1 PreAlpha

In Options->Ships->Own ship

You can pick the color for tracks and waypoint range rings directly through the graphical interface, but for Range Rings for Own Ship you have to edit the .conf file. This is bound to come up in beta tests, so we may as well be consistent here.

Re: OCPN Beta 4.8.1 PreAlpha

Just fetched from Git..

Win 8.1

Mouse roll-over:
- no chart info (neither RNC nor ENC)
- AIS targets: have to click on a target to see the info and then hoovering from one target to the next will switch information for targets

Missing icons for waypoints (and the WP-handle) -
In case nobody else sees that issue then this might be a problem with the batch files from the OCPN dev.-manual for Win Build.

Hubert..
Win10 Build VS2013. (All files copied with own bat-file.)
I can't confirm your observations. I've "normal icons" (Diamond, ring etc) and chart roll over info.

Hubert..
AIS mouse over is as normal.

WP handle??? Do you mean the Android handle? Is that implemented in the PC OCPN? If so I don't have it.

The second screenshot, the upper WP and the "pointer" or "handle".
I don't see this at the ARM version neither. Puzzling...

Right Click for Own Ship - some additional ideas.

Yes! Right Click of Own Ship should yield info and settings like WP.
See FS#2291 - Right Click on Boat (like WP) for Boat Properties & DR "Move Boat to Lat/Long"
- I changed the title and added a comment that is consistent with Thomas suggestion, somewhat expanded.

Re: OCPN Beta 4.8.1 PreAlpha

I think there is some kind of new bug in the look ahead feature. If I turn off look ahead mode the ship is stable in the center of the screen and the chart does not jump around. But if I turn on look ahead mode and turn on head up mode the chart jumps around back and forth sideways even for tiny ship movements. It is really annoying.

Re: OCPN Beta 4.8.1 PreAlpha

I would like to suggest a small improvement for the upcoming release.

In the Options->plug-in menu, the "enable / disable" buttons and also the up/down arrows need the display window to be very wide, if not these buttons will not be visible before scrolling the window sideways, or make the window full size. See attached screen shots taken form a 1920x1200 display using Ubuntu 16.04 x64

On small screens or for new users, this might cause confusion and problems when not realizing that these buttons is available but can not bee seen.

I never used look ahead mode before. I tried a few days ago, and it is, how you say, unusable.

Did it work better in earlier versions?

On the same topic, here is a good idea to make it better!

Dave.. Sean..
I've isolated this bug to commit 72f4fc2 "Merge pull request #927 from seandepagnier/memory_consumption_4"

The crash is when " pSelect->AddAllSelectableRouteSegments( m_pSelectedRoute );" shall execute. Both from right menu and route dialog.
i.e. canvasMenu.cpp and the same function in routmanagerdialog.cpp
The row from canvasMenu is marked on attached picture.

I'm sorry but I can't point out what's wrong. Some class was changed?
The debug error is "Access violation reading....."
