Re: OCPEN ROUTE TO PYPILOT?

Sean,

Good morning.

In addition to the above question I have a new one.

I adjusted the heading offset in OCPN, it now reports a 180 degree off set in web interface offset box. The web offset was previously set to -90⁰, I presume reflecti g a port or starboard mounting whereas my control box mount is forward facing.

So the compass now aligns much better with reality,

However there is a roughly 15⁰ differen between the Web Interface and the OCPN interface.
The web interface is reporting 75⁰, very close to true. OCPN is reporting 90⁰. St Martin.

OCPN is set to magnetic, if I select true the difference is bigger,

Re: OCPEN ROUTE TO PYPILOT?

I am not sure if you mean the heading in displayed in the plugin or if it is the heading indicator. Did you check the nmea debugger to see what heading pypilot output as nmea?

some screenshots indicating the discrepancy would help

Re: OCPEN ROUTE TO PYPILOT?

Sean,

I am sorry for delay.
I am now getting a note from Android a update is available.
OCPN is telling me my charts are incompatible with the existing version and direct a "migration."
But that does not seem to work, consequently all charts have disappeared.
I have a very poor internet here on anchor, will need to find a hot spot to do Android update, see if that helps.

Meantime.......a couple of screen shots.
Where do I find the "NEMA DEBUGGER"?

Re: OCPEN ROUTE TO PYPILOT?

Well that is interesting.... NOW the headings are aligned together.

I just do not know.

I will have watch and see if this is stable, if so GOOD!

First I need to get charts back.
