No "Proposed Chart Installation Directory"

After I click "Add Catalog" for the first time, new installation. I see no Proposed Chart installation directory. The box is filled with white and the "Select a different directory" is grayed out.

I am a first time user and I did make a Charts folder under the top user folder.

-George

I tried to post this yesterday and do not see it. Sorry if both posts are visible.

I do not see the image in preview. It is at https://imgur.com/BTQzUle

I am exactly at - click the options gear/Chart downloader/Add Catalog and the preposed directory is a solid white box and the option to change directories is grayed out.

Re: No "Proposed Chart Installation Directory"

You first have to tap a specific chart. Then OpenCPN 'decides' what map to propose. See screenshot for an example.

Re: No "Proposed Chart Installation Directory"

Thanks for the help - I didn't give a clear enough example. see

https://imgur.com/63nj5Qz

where I did select a chart but the directory choice is empty and then

https://imgur.com/8DsPJv9

Which is an error for not selecting a chart OR not selecting a directory. In this example you can see I did select a chart but no directory was possible.

Re: No "Proposed Chart Installation Directory"

George...
in the last screenshot, you have not yet selected a particular chart set to download.
A couple of more clicks will get you to something like the attached picture.

Thanks
