To get
OpenCPN to support PGN's 129283 & 129284 submit an issue on the
OpenCPN github site and keep complaining. Dave et al. seem to be responsive to the squeaky
wheel approach to adding features.

Please don't confuse the protocol used by different CAN Bus adapters to communicate with a PC; Actisense binary, Yacht Devices, N2K ASCII, NR2K RAW etc. with the
NMEA 2000 on the wire protocol. As I said OpenCPN or any
plugin can generate and transmit any PGN.
Also bear in mind that some of the protocols that were recently added
ONLY support
reception of
NMEA 2000 messages. This is a limitation of the adapter manufacturers and has nothing to do with OpenCPN.
For whatever reason the developers chose to listen to the squeaky wheels requesting support for
NMEA 2000
WiFi interfaces, rather than using their scarce resources to provide support for the
navigation PGN's.
