Newbie Help Please?

Hello
Only just started SERIOUSLY using OPENCPN. It's brilliant but I often have port issues with WindowsXP.

I've just downloaded and REALLY like Linux Mint. Is it possible to run OpenCPN with it?

PS COMPLETELY new to Linux!!!!

Re: Newbie Help Please?

Mint is just another Debian/Ubuntu rehash. You should be able to use the Ubuntu packages.

Re: Newbie Help Please?

Thank for that - next stupid question then, is... Although I have no probs downloading the Windows installers for OCPN, I don't seem able to download any of the Linux versions. Tried IE, Firefox and Chrome. Only ever gets to about 6%

What am i doing wrong?

Re: Newbie Help Please?

Try a different SourceForge mirror. There's a link for that near the top of the page.
