We would be interested to analyze the offending cell permit set.
Can you forward it to me, please? info at o-charts.org
Thanks

Moo...
So, do I understand that you do NOT have current access to the W10 system with OCPNsenc problems?
Thanks

Correct it is back aboard the boat out in the sounds (with LINZ raster charts). I can probably get it back next week sometime if you need to me get more information?

OK Will see what I can do. The owner of that particular computer typically comes to the big smoke once a week I believe, usually Wednesday/thursday. I'll ask him to bring it in.

Moo...

If you lay hands on it, please try this:
1. Find the OCPNsenc application. It will be in something line "C:\Users\{whatever}\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins \s63_pi"
2. Open a CMD box, and navigate to that folder.
3. execute: "OCPNsenc -a"
This will show the OCPNsenc version number, and prove that OCPNsenc is in place, and runs in a minimal way.

Re: New Zealand: ENC now in S-63 format for free
Moo,
here your CellPermits install perfectly on a W10 system. Same with charts in the following step.
One observation: there is no progress shown when installing the cell permits and after some while wondering what was going on I just clicked on the window and voilá, the installed permits did show up in the window.
Similar issue when installing charts: I observe a small glimpse in the upper left corner (normally it tells you "building senc"), but no progress indicator neither. In the case of the chart cell install the focus on the window returns by itself - the buttons are enabled again.

The regular New Zealand RNC charts are available in the regular chart catalog. These won't migrate in there also?

Don't think so. Most probably the RNCs will be phased out one day.
That's on the agenda of most of the agencies.

I eventually got my hands on the computer but only for a few minutes and without internet access.. So I couldn't read your message above. I did extract the log but it looks as if it has been cleaned out. Where can I send it?
The other thing that I did try was to create a fingerprint file. Got an error saying unable to create the file. I also tried running O as administrator and got the same error.

No nothing extra..
I think this one is lost. The computer is on a boat 100km away from me and the owner is happy with raster charts.. ......

Re: New Zealand: ENC now in S-63 format for free
I registered for the S63 trial when it started and was accepted. I found quite confusing initially, mainly due to my preconceived ideas of how the process would work. I then lost access to the laptop I had registered with LINZ.
Yesterday I went on to the O-Charts site, logged in registered a new "fingerprint", got a new install permit, logged into the LINZ site, provided the new details, downloaded the base data and today the PERMIT.TXT was ready for me.
When I followed the instructions in the o-charts site it all went perfectly and now I have an up to date OPENCPN ENC system.
Nice work OPENCPN, o-charts and LINZ!
