New kap file appears as a solid black rectangle

I noticed that the calibration of a scanned chart that I have been using for some time was as good as it could be so I set about recalibrating the png image more carefully (using MapCal_2). I then recreated the kap file with GE2KAP and saved with a different name. The new chart looks fine when viewed in GE2KAP. However, in OpenCPN it appears solid black. Moreover the chart outline is not quite right the correct size and one edge is sloping.

Does anyone know the reason for this behaviour and how to solve it?

I have loaded the kap file into a different computer with the same result.

I have also tried going right back to the beginning with the original scanned jpeg to no avail.

I've successfully created several scanned charts, the latest only a few days ago so I'm a confident follower of the process.

The kap file can be found here if anyone wants to try it themselves

It displays just fine for me but your georeferencing is way out.

Thanks Thomas - very helpful. Interestingly, the chart outline looks like what I see, but the displayed chart doesn't fit within it. I'll dig around a bit more today. Maybe delete the CHARTCAL.DIR before saving a new calibration.

Here's a link to the calibrated png file. The grid looks really good in MapCal_2.

PS, deleting CHARTCAL.DIR before re-calibrating did not solve the issue
