New CM93-3 DAT chart file

Hi all


Picked up 2.5 GB CM93-3 charts, but they do not work with OpenCPN, being DAT files, in one big file-
any of you know if will be able use them anytime soon?-
Used them 2019 in South Pacific and they where spot on in Papua Ne Guinea, not like the other charts I have that is out 1/10 NM most places-



They work on Telchart software or Maxsea 10.3.

OpenCPN only works with CM93 version 2. This fact is well documented.
There are no plans, as far as I know, for a Cmap v3 plugin.
If such a plugin was produced, it would likely require encrypted charts. That means that your CM93-3 charts would not work anyway.

If you really want up to date Cmap charts (or Navionics), buy their charts from Chartworld in the S63 format, which OpenCPN can read.

PNG is part of the Australian oeSENC set.
Go to o-charts.org for that set.


Depending of the exact sites you need S-63 is an option as Cagney pointed out.
