This is an odd one and probably a very simple answer, but I am stumped. Situation is
OpenCPN 4.0 driving a
Furuno NavPilot 500
autopilot for
route navigation. AP works fine in Auto mode. This system as worked in NAV all last year and until about mid-July this year. At that point, the AP would throw an "Arrived at Waypoint" alert when any
route is activated. The AP is set to the correct input (from OpenCPN) and
OpenCPN is configed to output for AP on the appropriate com port and with the appropriate
NMEA sentences. Nothing has physically or config changed (that I am able to figure out) with the exception of the replacement of the
AIS receiver with a transponder this year. The NAV function was working with the new transponder for about a month.
I have tried any number of permutations to determine what's up here, but keep hitting a brick wall. Looking for a list of things to try to
work down thru, as my list has come up dry. Ideas? Anyone see this type of thing before?
