MX Mariner trace export

Hi,

MX Mariner is the Android Version of OpenCPN ... so I think it's the good place to post.

Is there a way to export trace froM MX Mariner?, I can save traces but don't find them anywhere in the device memory.

Thanks!

Try posting your query in this thread:

Will, the developer of MX Mariner, checks in there on a pretty regular basis.

Re: MX Mariner trace export

Asco,

You can backup/export all marks (waypoints, tracks and routes) in the Marks Manager

Create GPX:
Menu-->Marks Manager ... GPX Tab ... Menu --> Create new GPX

You can long press on created gpx files to send them. Alternatively, GPX files are stored in /sdcard/mxmariner/gpx. Hope this helps.

Re: MX Mariner trace export

I should also mention that MX Mariner is not OpenCPN for Android as it doesn't share any code. I do mention Dave in the credits since MXM was inspired by OpenCPN.

However, I do hopefully soon plan on starting an open source library that will render vector charts for the osmdroid and/or mapsforge libraries. This library will most likely share some java versions of some Opencpn code. And hopefully with the authors permission I will be able to re-license this code LGPL or BSD so it can be included in MXM.
