missing areas of chart data on map

Using OpenCPN 4.6.1 on Lubuntu in i3 laptop.

No other known issues, using Garmin puck for real-time tracking.

There are small areas of data missing in seemingly random areas of the map. I am trying to nav the ICW and currently [tracking disabled, no puck] there are two areas in tomorrow's proposed route that are blank, only showing the river outlines, no depths, channel markers, etc...

This has happened twice during real time also, the data will be missing, but once I did look back later on and that area appeared.

I update maps, rebuild database, reboot, to no avail.

I suppose you're having the problem with vector charts? Try raster. You can't loose the data in pieces. It's all or nothing.

Thanks, I downloaded new charts into a new dir and everything now seems fine!

The old dir has every US chart in one dir, but the new one has two regions in separate subdirs.
