Mirrored charts on fresh install (Windows/Virtualbox)

I've just installed OpenCPN (5.6.0) on a Windows VM (using VirtualBox) so that I can create my own mbTiles, but the charts (both cm93 and the builtin basic chart) seem to be mirrored, including the labels. Dragging with the mouse causes it to flicker very fast between mirrorred/unmirrorred versions. Here's a screenshot showing what I see

Is there something wrong on my installation or an option to change this weird behavior? If not, any other way I can try to figure out what is wrong?

Thanks in advance!

That is extraordinary ! Never seen before.

For info, please try OCPN with OpenGL turned OFF. Of course, you will not be able to work with MBTiles without GL, but at least we can understand the problem.
Thanks
Dave

With OpenGL disabled it works as expected. I'll have a look at VirtualBox's OpenGL settings as well to see if there's anything there that would make OpenCPN work with OpenGL enabled

I had something similar on my W10 laptop. Totally inexplicable but quickly cured by deleting the ocpn.ini file. Problem gone after a restart and a new version was generated.

Interesting to see which setting results in a 180 degree switch of the screen. Guess you have deleted the old ini file so no diff is possible anymore?
