Lost GPS Connection

I have a friend in Malaysia using OpenCPN who reports that suddenly the GPS connection has been lost and in the Data Connection window is the message "Enable Type D.. Priority Parameters connection F".

He reinstalled OpenCPN with same result.


Any ideas what has happened?

Tell your computer to give priority to GPS by changing your assign priority to the gps connection. That could be the problem.

Not sure exactly what you mean. Is it this priority setting?

Try this; and if not, you will have to do it in the bios. Because he has probably other apparatus connected also, which may interfer with it.
