Loading charts

Downloaded OpenCPN from Google Play Store. Running on Android 5.0, Samsung Smart phone Galaxy S5. Unable to get charts to load. Does not scan and upload charts. Is there something I am doing wrong? Can someone provide a set of instructions for uploading charts?
