Åland Islands missing data, and Lithuanian charts ...

I have just joined the forum, so apologies if I am asking old questions, although I have searched and not found anything.


1. I have just downloaded the oeSENC chart for Finland and notice a reasonably large greyed out area in the Åland Islands with approximate corners at
60° 12.0767’ N; 020° 46.8727’ E
60° 09.4068’ N; 020° 53.1300’ E
60° 09.8023’ N; 020° 58.8313’ E
60° 12.0767’ N; 020° 52.1014’ E
I am guessing that data is not available for this area, but first I wanted to check that this is indeed the case, and not something to do with the way that OpenCPN is set up on my computer or the particular oeSENC map I downloaded. Has anyone else noticed the same issue? I am not too keen on sailing blind through this archipelago , and somewhat surprised data is missing for here!




2. Are there oeSENC charts for Lithuania available? If not, what do people use in OpenCPN?

You are referring to unsurveyed areas? Yes, this is the case in official chart material.


Lithuania: All intents to get a reply from the officals in charge to supply license aggreements were without success. If there is some local sailor who wants to help, that would be very welcome.
