Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
Good morning, good winds for 2025
I have been running v5.10.2 successfully in a PC with linux.
I changed to a Raspberry PI 5 and know I'm getting an issue: After some minutes running ok, the software stops without any message. When start again I get the message suggesting removing plugins and others.
I clean the log, start in safe mode and read it, but I cannot find any reason for that. I attach the log file, please have a look and help me.
Thanks!!

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
Your computer system is switched off automaticly after after some minutes.. Then the settings of Opencpn are not saved.
Switch off the automatic shutdown in your OS. And after a manual switch off then the settings of OpenCPN are saved.

Thanks Bram, I don't think so because it occurs when I'm working on OCP and the computer is still alive.
Anyway, could you asses me on how to check it in Pi5?

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
The automatic switch off is in your OS afterr some minutes of no activity. This period can be enlarged or switched off. Recommended for navigation systems.
Can be found under power setting or power saving.
Also important is to have a good power supply.

Power supply is currently the official 220v USB-c Raspberry, because I'm testing on dock. Power settings is not the issue because PI5 is running when I'm browsing internet and OPC stops. I can see it disappear from the screen without any error or message.
Any other ideas?

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
I checked the power in the Raspberry PI5 and it's running all the time. The issue is still happening, and I have no idea how or where to actuate.
Any help?

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
I am running v5.10.2 on a PI 5 as well without that problem. I used the OpenPlotter install, which may be sidestepping whatever issue you have.

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
Now testing RPI5 CM on IO RPI board.
Almost every item works well and very fast , except OpenCPN flatpak version.
OpenCPN starts with a lightblue screen, blackout icons and the mouse does no longer work.
Changing Opengl=0 in the config file. Then OpenCPN is working very well.
What is the problem here with OpenGL ?

Sorry, too many acronyms to follow:
"RPI5 CM on IO RPI board."
Details, please?
Thanks

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
I have just got exactly the same issue. I just received a Pi 5 16Gb. It was running fine on an 8Gb version. I now get the same colour screen and it pretty much crashes the Pi. I can't get a response from the mouse. SSH still works so I can reboot but I can't run OpenCPN with openGL
I am launching the flatpak version.

Is this a new install, or did you move the card over from the 8GB? Is this an OpenPlotter or BBN versioned OS, or an official Raspberry Pi OS?

Re: Issues with v5.10.2 and Raspberry PI 5
I run from a USB stick and I just swapped the stick over from my 8Gb Pi 5. It is the official Rpi 64 bit OS. I just installed a non flatpak version using apt install opencpn (I had to add bookworm-backports main to my sources.list). The non flatpak version works, but is no good for me as pinch zoom doesn't work on touch screens which is why I use the flatpak version. The flatpak version seems to completely hang the Pi on the attached screen. As I say I can still SSH into the Pi but I can't kill Opencpn, the mouse and keyboard stop responding and the only thing I can do is a reboot.
