Is tracking on or off?

I am using v2.3.1

I may be stupid but when using the toggle tracking button - how do you know whether tracking has been activated or stopped? Is there an indication on the screen I haven't seen or do you have to wait to see whether the track appears behind the 'boat'.

The square around the toggle icon is shown as a single line (switched off) or as a double line (switched on).

The buttons in the ToolBar becomes slightly larger and grayer when the are pressed on. Also what NAV says.

Re: Is tracking on or off?

Mine may not be the only set of eyes that have trouble distinguishing these fine details. Particularly with the track, tide and currents icons I have great difficulty detecting whether they are "on" or "off".

Re: Is tracking on or off?

If you still have the OpenCPN logfile, download https://github.com/downloads/nohal/L...kExtractor.exe and you can reconstruct the track from the logbook entries there.
If you don't have the log anymore, the track is gone unfortunately.

I agree, it´s very difficult to see whether it's on or off.
I had to look at the example and compare with my own screen for quite a while before I saw the difference.
The same goes for current and tide.
