Iridium Go and OpenCPN

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find a way to download weatherfaxes into OpenCPN through our Iridium GO.

Anybody know how to let OpenCPN use the Iridium Go internet connection?

I don't but you can download them using Airmail and then open the file in OpenCPN.

I have just been researching this same thing and note that there is a weatherfax plugin got OpenCPN:

Once the system is setup and running, it is not difficult at all.
I did it last summer with KVH.
Compose your request in email to saildocs.
Send it using their interface.
Recieve the response.
Download it.

Keep the grib sizes low, use walking/moving gribs, select your wxfaxes careffully.
Monitor your useage.
Make sure your laptop is not automatically updating or downloading anything.
Remove the ofending software if necessary use all the ms tools to control this that you can.
Setup, then login in. Do it. Log off immediately. Don't get interrupted!
