Intsalling CPN Open on a Mac

Trying to in stall openCPN on my Mac but i get the following mesg

“OpenCPN” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.

Safari downloaded this file today at 14:29 from opencpn.org

I've done this with other apps. From a Google search.

Open Program from Unidentified Developer (Mac)
In the Finder, locate the app you want to open. (Don't use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn't allow you to access the shortcut menu.)
Press the Control key, then click the app icon.
Choose Open from the shortcut menu.
Click Open.
