Improve your kap files - depthLoger

Hi I'm Bartek from sailing vassel Desperado. I'm currently in panama and as a retired developer I notice that there is a way to improve little bit the local charts. I start writing an app / script / program and I'm calling it "depthLoger"
It is an app with collect from nmea bus or import nmea logs analyze the data, extract location and depth. Data is process and at the and it's puts new depth measurements on kap files. (it's not making kap files from scratch but improve existing one)

I know that it is not the way to do it but in Panama where I have +/- 15cm of tides it is ( OK'ish ) for me.

I'm also looking for people who want to contribute in collecting data. I'm looking for now somebody from panama area Caribbean side. I'm expecting only a nmea logs.
