I had tried that before but did it again using the command:

imgkap Kymmendo.png kymmendo.txt Kymmendo.kap
and this txt file:

Same result, the converted chart is still almost 7 NM off in WSW direction.

No more suggestions unless I can see the original chart picture.

Problem sorted out.

It was mainly an error in georeferencing, but also the stated picture size.

This is generally the case. Assume that OpenCPN indeed does the correct thing with charts.
