How to run a simulation

Is there a way to run a simulation in open CPN? Like if I have a start point and I want to run at X heading for Y hours where am I? Or a way to make a dead reckoning plot?

DR per se is not available but what you can always do is to (ab)use (from) the routing tool: drawing legs hour by hour or your speed*time with the bearing you define.
And for a simple estimation F4/measuring.
There is a feature request at flyspray. You might vote it.
