How do I define the route style (thickness) by an activated route?

When I create a route I define the style = Solid and the width = 5 pixels.

But when I activate the route, the width change to about 2 pixels? I especially would like the route to be thick, so that the route is easy to follow, when I am sailing?

Is there a parameter to set to control the width of a route, when the route is activated?

I can repeat your scenario, and I think that you have found a bug.
The settings should still be there when a route is active.
I'll enter this in the bug tracker.
