Help needed

Hi Guys
Have installed Opencpn on my Mac os x with no issues, however when I downloaded and installed the oeSENC 5.x plugin its not showing under plugins on the program. My computer skills are limited so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok tried deleting and reinstalling with no luck, have searched the web for answers but without luck

I really don't know which problems you might have.
Perhaps you tell a little bit more:
- Which version of macOS you have?
- Which version of OpenCPN you have?
- Which version of oesenc_plugin you have?
- Is the plugin shown in settings plugins?
- Have you actvated it?
- Instead of searching the web have you ever read the manual?


Actually it should be:
- OpenCPN v5.0.1 download as: http://download.opencpn.org/5.0.1/Op....1+0266678.dmg


- oesenc-plugin-ov50_3.0.0.pkg

Mac version is 10.11.6

opencpn version 5.0.1

oesenc plugin v50-3.0.0

Doesn't show up in settings plugins, therefore can't activate it

Have read manual and it says mac will send files to proper places

I can't say for 10.11.6. Version El Capitan is more than 3 years old.
I have tested with macOS 10.14.6 Mojave and it works fine.
When starting the pkg and installing the plugin do you see a message about warning of a non certified programmer?

Yes it does warn of non certified program but I go into security and open it anyway

So it should to be installed.
Then you go in the OpenCPN settings to Plugins and activate it.

Open the OpenCPN logfile and search for a line like this:

13:34:10 EEST: PlugInManager:  /Applications/OpenCPN.app/Contents/PlugIns/oesenc_pi/liboesenc_pi.dylib
              API Version detected: 111
              PlugIn Version detected: 300

First however look in /Applications/OpenCPN.app/Contents/PlugIns/
if a path/file oesenc_pi/liboesenc_pi.dylib is seen there.
If you are new to macOS you open the contents a program bundle like /Applications/OpenCPN with the right click mouse in Finder.

I cannot explain you each function of OpenCPN.
You should read the manual. Anything is explained there.

Try the question mark button of the tools bar.

found the log files
it shows the default plugins that come with opencpn but i can't see the anything for the oesenc
