grib weather plugin not visible

Hello, I have installed opencpn 3.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 lucid - The grib weather plugin is not visible in the Tools >Plugins.( Dashboard only is present) - In /usr/local/lib/opencpn I find: libdashboard_pi.so AND libgrib_pi.so - The libgrib_pi.so's MD5 is: cac3be59ef853a1358f38cdb239bcb1d - his wight is: 277352 octets - I want to download a new libdashboard_pi.so but where? or is that a bug ? - how coult I use the grib weather plugin ? - Thanks Georges

The grib plugin is part of the package and is not downloadable separately. Could we have a look at your logfile?

Sorry, where is the logfile ? I am unable to find it... I confirm: libdashboard_pi.so and libgrib_pi.so are present in /usr/local/lib/opencpn But only dashboard is displayed in tools>plugins I insatlled opencpn twice without change.. Here is a part of opencpn.conf:

Should be opencpn.log in your home directory: ~/opencpn.log

The path is also written in the about menu (click "?" in toolbar)

Which deb package did you use to install? I suppose you downloaded the one linked on the download page (built on and targeting 12.04) - Try to use the Lucid specific one from https://launchpad.net/~opencpn/+archive/opencpn

SOLVED !
I have downladed and installed the package from:
https://launchpad.net/~opencpn/+archive/opencpn
ie: opencpn_3.0.2-0~lucid1_i386.deb
with: libtinyxml2.5.3_2.5.3-3nf1~ppa1~lucid1_i386.deb
it runs fine

I had:
opencpn_3.0.2-1_i386.deb from de download page
with: libtinyxml2.6.2_2.6.2-1_i386.deb
