Looking at some of the links for this website we find that it is run with some
software provided by "NOAA/NWS Science and
Training Resource Center (STRC) Environmental Modeling System (EMS" which is
software that can run on a
linux computer with
"All the capability of the NCEP and NCAR WRF models are retained within the EMS; however, the
installation, configuration, and execution of each
core has been
greatly simplified to encourage their use throughout the operational, private, and University forecasting and research communities."

In a moment of weakness some time ago, Dave offered to host such a website. Seeing this example by Openskiron which seems quite straightforward, it looks like this could be done for the east and west coasts. How much
work would be involved. Are there any volunteers to help?
