Grib file failure.
G'day,

Has anyone else noticed that ugrib and zygrib have stopped downloading.

I have been trying to download grib files for our passage from Taiwan to Japan. Both ugrib and zygrib won't download files.

Zygrib opens and appears to request files however no file downloads.

Ugrib gave an error message so I removed the program and tried to reload, now the website won't even open.

Is anyone else experiencing difficulties?

Windyty is working however you can't download files from it for weather routing in opencpn.

Yes, i am having the same problem. It says it can't connect to the server , worked fine last week , my internet is working fine . I am using ugrib .

What is your location Wind Magic? I am wondering if it is ISP related. We are in Taiwan. First Zygrib stopped then Ugrib. Really frustrating as we are watching the weather closely to head North.

An email request works.

Requesting grib files from Saildocs (2010-07-08)

Zygrib works; uGrib does not.

Goodmorning,
I have recently bought a new laptop incl. windows 10. I was able to download the Ugrib program, but, when trying to download the forecast for a certain area.. i get an error msg abt no internet connection..(and name resolution failure)... So, i was wondering is this is Grib.Us hick up..? I cant even get to their website anymore... Is there some news re this Grib situation? Thanks and all the best.

Lots of folks are having problems with ugrib.

Try zygrib - a much better program. Also free.

Same problem. Unable to connect to server. Check connection. Error: NameResolutionFailure. Email GRIB requests fine using Grib Plot (via Iridium w/ XGate). Is Zygrib working? If so I will attempt to download that. Location: Galapagos.

Yes.. I also downloaded zygrib.. And works very well. If you can tell more abt galapagos that would be great as next year we might visit on Route to marqueses...
