Green lines through the maps?

Hello everyone! I have downloaded OpenCPN by the book and a few videos on Youtube. The map downloads with green lines through it rendering it all but useless. I have been trying to download to a windows computer. What did I do wrong? Thanks

I sure someone with more knowledge and expertise will chime in soon with the perfect answer.
In the meantime, you can make sure that your graphics card drivers are properly up to date. Also try toggling OpenGL on and off.

Re: Green lines through the maps?

I think Karanga has the right suggestions. Looks like its the graphics drivers or the graphics card is does not handle some part of OpenGL.
Suggest running GLview : OpenGL Extensions Viewer 6 | realtech VR
to determine what isn't working and what level of opengl is supported.

Re: Green lines through the maps?

Was having the same problem with a new little laptop I bought for the boat. It arrived today. Followed rgleason's link. It took awhile, lots of link following and driver loading and rebooting, so I'm not actually sure what fixed the problem -- though think it was something from intel -- but fix it it did. So thank you.
