Git connection time out !! impossible to get last source code !!

Hello all,

I just a few minutes ago try to download the last source code :

root@manu-linux:~# git clone git://opencpn.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/opencpn/opencpn
Cloning into opencpn...
opencpn.git.sourceforge.net[0: 216.34.181.91]: errno=Connection timed out
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection timed out)

Like you could see I had an error...

What's wrong ??

Probably a temporary hiccup with SourceForge! Try again.
There is no need at all to be root to do this.
I would strongly recommend against connecting to the Internet as root.
You have created another user, I hope.....

I try agin this morning...same result !!!!
I am not able to get the source code !!

PLEASE HELP ME before I will be crazy...

here my terminal command:

There is nothing wrong with your command. It works for me.
Have you installed everything recommended here Compiling - Linux | Official OpenCPN Homepage ?

If so, you may have problems with your network, proxy server, firewall, ISP etc.
Google for

git "clone fatal unable to connect a socket connection timed out"

Hello Thomas,

I think you're right about proxy problem..
I try with the github from pavel, in https mode and it was working perfectly!

I am in France on a Livebox for my ADSL...

I think there are a problem with my provider (orange)

I search a little to found nothing about this problem with orange on google...

Pavel just tols me that he put his github uptodate from the last build..

I must find an alternative way to get the last source code..
