General question on the help manual

I used Open CPN for the first time this week on a cruise. I generally found it favorable to the other electronic chart programs I have. One problem that I had was when I had a question about a particular item, I went to the help manual and very often was not able to find the answer, or it took a long time to locate. Is there a search mechanism that you can key in the word or phrase you are interested in and a list is generated to show where it might be found?

The easiest way is to use the version of the manual that comes with your installation. Click the blue button with the "?" and then help.
The whole manual comes in one large single page. Just use your web-browsers built in search abilities, to find what you are looking for.

It's also possible to use google to search opencpn.org, including the online wiki manual, for words, like this

gnomonic charts site:opencpn.org

I'm looking for places where gnomonic charts are mentioned in opencpn.org. Just write "whatever you are looking for" and then "site: opencpn.org".
