garmin usb and opencpn on fedora

I recently upgraded to fedora 16 and noticed there were not any
rpms on souceforge. So I compiled it from source and it is
working fine on f16. Using network libgps my garmin with
usb interface is working for the first time. Very happy!


In the past I have not been able to use my garmin
with opencpn on linux for unknown reasons as the gpsd
clients xgps and cgps would stop displaying data after
a few moments.

I have tried some other interfaces /dev/ttyUSB0 for example
and none of them work. I believe also that I may have missed
some prerequisites in the past as I don't remember seeing
network libgps after various compiles but I got it now.
