Fuzzy depths ...

Latest OpenCPN running on a Pi, with a decent LCD, all the chart text seems nice and crisp and sharp ... however the depths look .. fuzzy.

Any clues?

Re: Fuzzy depths ...

Can't help here. The text is all in a large raster file, difficult to change.

Re: Fuzzy depths ...

So on these vector charts, where all the information is in vector format, and all the other text comes out crisp, you are saying the depth information is supplied in raster format?

Re: Fuzzy depths ...

heres another view, the vector data includes names ... surely the depth data is not raster?

Yes they are, OpenCPN is implementing IHO S-52 standard and the latest version is still using raster graphics for sounding, ATON and other stuff.

It was fine with 72 to 100 DPI screens, it's an issue with higher DPI and out of norm screen sizes, IIRC most screens we are using are too small for the standard.
