When a raster chart is displayed you can hover the mouse pointer over its button in the chart selection bar and an information window will pop up with the chart's particulars. The last line of information is a date, labeled "Updated". In fact, the date is the last print date of the chart. NOAA
charts are updated regularly from the Local Notices to Mariners (LNM) and Notices to Mariners (NTM) and the date of the last NTM corrections is included in the .BSB file. That date is much more indicative of how
current the chart is. I'd like to see it added to the chart information window as "Updated" and the last print date correctly labeled as "Printed".
I'm pretty sure this would be a really simple change. Would one of the programmers take a look at the code and see what it would take to implement the change?
Does anyone else care about how
current their
charts are? If so, how about voting for this item so it will get some attention?
