Re: Feature Requests

You cannot DISPLAY the arrows on screen for another time / day ...unless changing the time / day on the computer as Netsurfer as said

But you can read the values (direction and speed for 24 h) in the small window on top right of main current window

Re: Feature Requests

BTW, there is a long standing request for modifying the way the currents are shown at some scale...

Thomas,

What a wonderful job, the Annotated User Manual...
Yes, it does make a lot of sense...
I would just add one point to the Route Planning section, that might not be obvious:
Code:
# The ">" (meaning "Now") departure time specification can only be entered
in local PC time zone selection. It differs from specifying the same
moment of time, but without the "Now" spec
 ( e.g. "5/23/2011 08:00" vs. ">" ) :

"5/23/2011 08:00" - calculates departure at 0800 on May 23rd, 2011 from
the first waypoint of the route

">" issued at 0800 on May 23rd, 2011 - calculates departure Now from
the current boat position, including the distance to the first
 waypoint
Can I do this myself, or will it magically find its way to the Book?

Thanks so many times!

Piotr

Pjotr

Thank you!
Great if you can check for accuracy and completeness. It's a wiki. Just log in and you can edit. Please go ahead. It would great if you could check out splitting and joining for routes and tracks at the same time. You are the expert!
If you have any problems with editing I'll be happy to help out.

the FCK editor is not available (stops loading without showing the page's content for editing) for Gecko based browsers.
Maybe you can inform Will, too?

Thanks,

I just tested. Works for me. But it could be because I use US_english.
Any changes if you change language?

Re: Feature Requests

Before giving it a try, does the logbook (already) plugin work with the beta version of OpenCPN?

That's why there is a hint above the input field. Maybe someone, some time...
Maybe we could use a date picker to avoid such problems caused by different locale settings (see: wxWidgets Online Manuals )?

Re: Feature Requests

Great, OpenCPN doesn't crash anymore after activating.

A feature request, I think it would be handy to have a button on the top menu to either activate or deactivate the logbook. I think that's more handy than going through the settings menu.

Please have a look at FS#475 (and add a comment if you like) and/ or add your feature request to the Logbook's tracker - thanks!
