Editing in Google Earth

As GE is used more and more for maps and harbour plans,it would be handy to use this thread for advanced info regarding editing, capture and storage information which is very scarce in the GE's URL. For example::

1. How to adjust luminosity of the GE maps which often are very dark.
2. Using 'History' can overcome a view obscured by clouds.
3. Is it possible to select a map view with a zoom value exceeding the screen
and save it as an outsize file?
4. Can an overlay file have it's land area made transparent by GE?

Anybody know how to set up a command line to activate Google Earth and it's 'Find location'. Can be entered as: 45 23 03N,68 05 20W

Very useful when setting up a table of world locations for quick GE access.

Hi..

Seems I'm asking all the questions here and also supplying the answers.. well well...

Here's a great and easy way to prepare a KML file to take you to your favourite Google Earth destination.

http://www.andrewdavidson.com/google-earth-kml-creator/

Really great to use in conjunction with Paul's GE2KAP.

Try this KML file and see for yourself.
