Display lat/lon grid degrees in bigger type

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to make the display size of the latitude and longitude degrees bigger / readable?
I am on OpenCPN 5.6.2 ( macOS Version ) as well as 5.6.2 on raspbian.

In both versions the latitude and longitude degrees from the grid cannot be scaled or color changed for more contrast it seems.
On the high dpi display of the mac the issue is even worse but my aging eyes cannot make sense out of what the raspbian version displays as well.

Am i missing something in the settings?
Is there a small hack maybe to help with the issue?

There is no way to alter this.
But luckily the sources of OpenCPN are public available and so you are able to change the code for your needs and compile it yourself. As seen in the past the programmers don't want code changings asked by the users.

as far as I know there is no direct way of doing it, but you can use plugins like Dashboard (included in program itself) and Dashboard-Tactics that had a lot of features and could display Lat/Long in bigger figures, e.g. attached pictures:
- Full screen with Dashboard activated
- Setting in that pluging.

However I do not need the lat / lon of the current pointer or object position but just a general overview.

Grid text style is configurable in the current release candidate versions, just go to Toolbox -> User Interface and change the GridText font.

Aha. Thanks. Well then I wait until the bugs are sorted out before installing that and it becomes a release. Too swamped with other boat things to debug the electronics for now.

SailorMcCruise sorry for my reply I read it very fast and I couldn't realize about "Grid"

I have in my tablet installed RC1 5.7.1 with High resolution (2880X1920) and I've tried what Nohal states in his last message and I can confirm what he says.

one is taken with font size 10 and the other one is with 20 and you can see absolutely and readable different grid number, e.g. for aged like us.
