Depth information missing

Hi. Total OpenCPN n00b here..

I downloaded OpenCPN on my Fedora machine, and downloaded the map pack

OSM-OpenCPN2-KAP-MediEast-20200115-1721


It works, it shows the map, but there is NO depth information anywhere. Did I download the wrong map? I checked all the opencpn options, nothing helped.


Any ideas what to do?

You don't see any sounding because OSM does not contain that info.
You have to look at other chart sources.

You can always find good OpenCPN charts at https://o-charts.org/.
Click a country you're interested in. For Turkey and Greece rasters from Imray for the oeRNC plugin are available. Log in to get a license fee with your VAT. Also read the manual to find out how the license works.
