Depth contours and soundings in the Netherlands

Hello,

Im new to this forum, and new to OpenCPN. I've downloaded it this morning and been playing around with the settings. So far I think the program has a lot of potential, and im happy i've found it!

I've downloaded the Rijkswaterstaat maps for the Netherlands, and have them up and running. So far i have not been able to get sounding information and depth contours to work. I've looked around on the forums and have not been able to find an awnser, sorry if i've overlooked it. I did see screenshots where other users, using the same area (IJsselmeer) do have this working.

I've i use Object Query, the depth area returns zero, as if there is no information. Im using OpenCPN 4.0.0 on Win 7 64 bit.

Could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Re: Depth contours and soundings in the Netherlands

I've also downloaded the Zeeland charts, and here both the soundings and contours are working flawlessly. So it seems to be an issue with the chart information, but i have seen screenshots of this working.. Any help would be appreciated

Depth soundings are checked, also soundings in the list on the right side. If i uncheck the box, the soundings in Zeeland also disappear, so this setting seems to be right.

The "S" key will switch soundings on and off for vector charts.
Not for raster obviously....

This indeeds toggles the option Depth Soundings, but no soundings show up in the IJsselmeer area. They do in Zeeland, but im trying to get them to work in the the IJsselmeer.

What happens when you select "All" from "Display Category"?

Also tried that, no luck yet. Does any of you have experience with this chart set? Maybe it is an error in the download or something..

The Delta Area and also the Belgian part of the Westerschelde are in high resolution (6). The other Dutch charts for the inland waterways and also the charts in other EC countries are still without depths.

The Europoort(Rotterdam Havendienst) area is not yet added.

Perhaps the IJsselmeer and Waddenzee (with a weekly update) will follow in high resolution.

Groet,

Bram

Re: Depth contours and soundings in the Netherlands

Message from Port of Rotterdam Authority (Havendienst Rotterdam). They are busy with the inland ENC charts of the Europoort and the Rotterdam Area. Work will be completed before mid 2016.

No information about the resolution that will be used.
