CSV to GPX conversion for Gulf Stream Data

I am contemplating putting something together that would allow you to download the US Navy gulf stream data and convert the CSV they provide into a GPX file so it can be loaded as a track overlay. This works well manually but it is a bit tedious and it would be nice to have push button functionality directly in the application.



Before I start working on it, is there anything in OCPN today that would do something similar that I am missing or is anyone working on something similar?

There is nothing like that in the program. The GPX file needs to be in XML format so O can parse the fields.

Assume you are looking at this data:

Using some code from another project it was possible to make a small utility (just for this conversion):

Windows OS only at present.
