Hi Torre. I run a
laptop down on the nav station and currently use a wired
remote LCD
screen which swings out from the
companionway, which I can view from the
helm. And I use a wireless 'presentation' mouse to control the computer.
This works well for me, but my eyes are getting worse and sometimes the
screen is just too far away for my old eyes. We have a big
cockpit, it's about 5-6' feet. I'd love to hook up a wireless connection using an Android 7" tablet we recently bought.
So I'd like to do what you did. I have played with Splashtop and AirDisplay in the past. They seemed laggy and I decided it was not workable. Is Teamviewer better?
I only did this once, and it may have been my old
iPad 1 was laggy, and not the whole setup. I haven't had a chance to go back and try with our new Android tablet and see if it works better. But I stumbled across your Teamviewer thread while looking for something else.
Just curious how Teamviewer compares with AirDisplay and Splashtop.
