Compiling Error

Visual studio 9 2008; windows 7; wxwidgets2.8; opencpn3.1.7

Error 1 error C2664: 'wcstombs' : cannot convert parameter 2 from 'const wxChar *' to 'const wchar_t *' c:\OpenCPN-3.1.7\src\navutil.cpp 6256 opencpn

Error 2 error C2664: 'LoadLibrary' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'LPCWSTR' to 'LPCSTR' c:\OpenCPN-3.1.7\src\chcanv.cpp 389 opencpn

Are there any problem with unicode?
I have changed wxwidgets - setup.h glcanvas and graphics to 1
config.vc unicode 1
I am compiling opencpn with dll debug.

Please, can you help me?

Re: compiling error

ailton...
Looks like a unicode problem. Clean up the wxwidgets build artifacts and go through the build instructions again. Especially take note that our supported toolchain is VS2010 based - If you produce the setup package with 2008 toolchain, it will not work for sure out of the box. The compilation itself MIGHT still work, but I din't try since early 2.6 betas. If you follow the instructions exactly, you should not have any problems.

Visual studio 9 2008 should compile and run OK, except that the pre-built PlugIns available on the opencpn.org site will refuse to load.
