Cheap ALiExpress GPS works windows 10

I have been using it on linux mint for a few years. Cost like $7, simply a puck on a usb cord.
I plugged in win10 version 20H2 (very latest update), windows detected it and set it up as a com3 port.

Went into opencpn settings, setup a serial gps, it listed a com3 serial device, selected, applied and yup, its active.

I also added a network GPSD port, but unchecked it.
Since it is not needed, how do you get rid of that?

This one also works and a couple dollars less. Things have gotten so much easier setting up GPS today

You can share your android phone gps with your PC too.
If it can charge through the usb cable, and you can tolerate having your phone wired up to the PC, might be good for a backup gps.
