Re: Charts for Mexico?

BCN that is working for me, very convenient to see chart availability.
Is this opencpn.org coverage or just ESRI?
Do the Chart names and Cell names coorespond with opencpn.org in some way?

Should I include it in MBTiles or not?

FYI:
Navionics includes both above
C-Map includes Altata but, currently, not new Bahia de la Paz

Re: Charts for Mexico?

The IHO does show the ENCs, S-57 charts distributed as S-63 for ECDIS and ECS.

The coverage of SEMAR produced charts is not identical for RNCs and ENCs.

The actual catalogue shows all the details:

Do you know if the raster charts in BSB format are available for the public?
And in which BSB (sub-)format?

I have never been in to a SEMAR office and haven't purchased charts direct from them. Chart dealers in La Paz in 2014/2015 didn't have RNCs (at least, not obviously) So cannot help there. The pdf you referenced lists the various offices; perhaps write them (how's you Spanish?). Would be great (!) if O-Charts had these!

I have tried to keep up on new or revised SEMAR charts in the Sea of Cortes region. So a as familiar with Altata, Loreto and newest, Bahia La Paz (not referring to La Paz harbour) before they appeared on CMAP or Navionics.
(CMAP had Altata and Loreto detailed charts several years before Navionics finally included them; but now Navionics ahead with LaPaz bay.)

Sorry I am not more help.

Re: Charts for Mexico?

A complete new set of MBTiles for Mexico and Central America (ArcGIS, Bing, Google, Navionics) is now available at TheChartLocker.com.
All free, of course. As are all the other charts covering the Pacific, NZ, east coast of Australia, parts of the Caribbean, and more.

Cheers,
Bruce
