No and it will not be, O5.8 release is around the corner and is the only target I'm supporting while implementing plugin manager support in my plugins.

BCN & Nohal,

thanks for the answer.

is there any way of downloading version 5.8 and start testing it?

now it seems that I have some spare time to work around after having a big fight with boat maintenance.

(FTB of course I'm loosing the battle)

Re: Chart Object Search plug-in

Installed O5.8.0. and updated plug-in catalogue. Object Search Plug-in is missing. Downloaded the plug-in via the links on the OpenCPN.org download tab. Again, does not appear in the options plug-in list. Note earlier posts to this thread indicated support for the plug-in is planned for the 5.8 release. Please advise when the plug-in will be available. THANKS

Re: Chart Object Search plug-in

Hi Pavel,
Just arrived in the Tuamotus and had some internet to install the new plugin in 5.8. Thank you for that.
Here's a couple of comments/suggestions:

1. The size of dialog should be retained from session to session. On my new laptop (Lenovo 14" laptop running Windows 11 at 3072x1920), the dialog is very small and has to be resized every time I open OpenCPN adn use the plug in
2. The size of the columbns should be retained as well
3. When I click the objSearch icon in the toolbar, the dialog appears, gets the focus for a moment, and then loses it. Must click with mouse to return focus and begin typing.
4. After typing in a search term and hitting enter to search, the results list box should be the active element on the form so you can scroll down with the keyboard. Now you must use the mouse to bring the focus to the list box.
Thanks for the super useful plugin.
Cheers,
Bruce

Re: Chart Object Search plug-in

ObjSearch and anything like it are no longer in the plug-in list. I have OpenCPN 5.6.2. What am I missing?

Should be in the Plugin manager inside OpenCPN. I have it in 5.8.2...
