What version of Opencpn? What OS? Default or special installation?

I just downloaded 4.0 and the chart downloader worked flawlessly.

The chart downloader/updater documentation seems to be missing from the 4.0 help file.

The one thing I noticed is that all the installed plugins except for the preinstalled seem to disappear after OpenCPN is closed and need to be reinstalled.

Is your OCPN installed into the application folder?

Yes. I couldn't even install the plugins until OpenCPN was in the application folder.
